Wuthering Waves: We Promise, We Deliver Quest Guide for 2026

Wuthering Waves We Promise, We Deliver quest guide: start, find Mimika, beat Inferno Rider, and solve Spear Tip: Penetration Test.

Exploration quests in Wuthering Waves often mix combat, light puzzles, and a fair amount of running around. We Promise, We Deliver is one of those early Sea of Flames adventures, and it becomes available after players finish the Ominous Star main quest. There is one extra gate: they must reach Union Level 10 first. Once that is done, the Wanted Poster in the bulletin board opens the path. From there, Lollo Logistics, a missing contact named Mimika, and a very angry Inferno Rider all become part of the journey. This guide walks through the whole quest in a clear, step-by-step way, with the important puzzle solutions and battle tips included.

How to Start We Promise, We Deliver πŸ—ΊοΈ

The quest begins after the Ominous Star main story is complete. Players need Union Level 10, so if the Wanted Poster is not showing up, they should do a few side activities, spend Waveplates, or open chests until the level requirement is met. The Wanted Poster is found in the bulletin. Reading it adds the quest to the log.

After that, an in-game mail from Lollo Logistics arrives. Opening it continues the navigation. The next stop is the Lollo Logistics Jinzhou branch. There, players can ask for more details and learn that Mimika has gone missing in the Sea of Flames. The dialogue can be skipped quickly, but the quest marker is the important part.

Searching for Mimika and the First Inferno Rider Fight

Following the navigation leads to Mimika's contact touchpad in the Sea of Flames. This is where the first Inferno Rider encounter happens. Players should not worry about winning. The boss has a barrier that cannot be removed in this phase, so the fight is meant to end in a loss. After the scripted defeat, the player wakes up somewhere else.

The search for Mimika continues. If the Nexus Beacon is already unlocked, teleporting there saves time. Otherwise, players can follow the marker on foot. There is no puzzle immediately after the battle until they reach the first abandoned research facility and talk to the Exiles.

Spear Tip: Penetration Test 🎯

Inside the first abandoned research facility, the quest unlocks Spear Tip: Penetration Test. The goal is simple: hit all normal targets. The target types matter:

Target Type Marker What to Do
Normal Target Yellow Hit all of them.
Explosive Target Explosion symbol Hit it to trigger an explosion that breaks nearby targets.
Trap Target Prohibition symbol Avoid it. Hitting it deducts points.

Players should prioritize explosive targets when they are surrounded by normal ones, because the blast can save time. Trap targets are the only real penalty, so a careful aim is better than spam.

Spear Breech: Propeller Test Pipe Puzzle 🧩

The second abandoned research facility introduces Spear Breech: Propeller Test. This puzzle has five fuel pipelines, and all of them are inside the facility. The hard part is locating each missing slot and rotating the pipe correctly before placing it. Walking around the rooms a little usually reveals everything.

  1. First pipe: In the main room, place the horizontal pipe on the missing part near the fire thrower. Rotate it before throwing it down if needed.

  2. Second pipe: From the main room, look left for another horizontal pipe. Pick it up and place it in the right room.

  3. Third pipe: On the right side again, find an L-shaped pipe. Pick it up, walk forward, and place it in the missing part. Rotate it like the reference image shows.

  4. Fourth pipe: On the left side or left room, use an L-shaped pipe.

  5. Fifth pipe: Also on the left side or left room, use another L-shaped pipe. If it is not visible, roam around until it appears.

Pressure Plates, Signals Console, and Spear Barrels ⏱️

After the pipe puzzle, the quest marker leads to a pressure plate challenge. Players must stand on all four pressure plates within the time limit. The grappling hook is the best tool here. Pressing T to grapple between plates makes the timer much easier to beat. After all plates are activated, hit the Training Dummy to hack into the Signals Console.

The Signals Console puzzle has a specific solution, shown in the guide image. It is a short hacking step, not a combat check.

Next comes another test. Players need to hit spear barrels with their Resonator to build the Hit Gauge shown above the spears. When the gauge is full, the spears are destroyed. This gives temporary immunity to the surrounding Incenero Petal Pollens, which are a debuff caused by standing on red flowers. Avoiding those flowers is still a good idea, but the immunity window helps.

Returning to the Sea of Flames and Defeating Inferno Rider πŸ”₯

Once the tasks are done, players return to the assembly site and talk to Woodrow. Then the quest sends them back to the Sea of Flames. This time, they use Explosive Spears to attack the enemies around the Sound Emulator. The Levitator is automatically equipped as a utility function. Players hold T to grab a spear and throw it at enemies, similar to the pipe-fixing mechanic.

The rematch with the Inferno Rider is the real fight. This time, winning is required. When the boss starts generating its barrier, Mimika provides an Explosive Spear. Players should throw it at the Tacet Discord to destroy the shield, then attack again. Repeating this pattern breaks the barrier and opens the damage window.

Inferno Rider Transformation and Quest Completion 🏁

After the Inferno Rider is defeated, the quest gives players a temporary transformation into the Inferno Rider. During this segment, they move along a track and can wield a long blade to destroy obstacles ahead. Road signs can also be avoided or smashed, depending on the route. It is a short victory lap that ends the quest.

For players starting in 2026, We Promise, We Deliver remains a straightforward early Exploration Quest. The main things to remember are the Union Level 10 requirement, the scripted first loss to Inferno Rider, the five-pipe puzzle, the pressure plate grappling hook trick, and the Explosive Spear barrier break. With those steps in mind, the Sea of Flames section becomes much less frustrating.
