Wuthering Waves Tier List 2026: The Best Resonators Ranked

Wuthering Waves tier list: 2026 meta rankings for every top Resonator, from SS-tier Suisui and Yangyang Xuanling to Lucilla.

After spending hundreds of hours grinding the Tower of Adversity and every new event Kuro Games throws at us, I can honestly say the 2026 Wuthering Waves meta is the most diverse it has ever been. Back when I started, one hyper-carry DPS solved everything. Now, Echo Skill scaling, status-effect stacking, and Outro buffs decide whether I clear a stage in ninety seconds or wipe on the second wave. And since I can only bring three Resonators into a fight at a time, every single slot matters. So here is my personal, fully updated tier list, built from my own clears, my own failures, and a truly embarrassing amount of wasted Astrites.

🏆 SS Tier — The Absolute Best

These Resonators can single-handedly carry me through the hardest content in the game, and they bring immense value to whatever team I slot them into.

Character Element Role Why They're SS Tier
Suisui Support Healer / Buffer Best all-round support; fits nearly every comp
Yangyang Xuanling Havoc Main DPS Highest raw damage via Heavy Attacks
Lucilla Glacio Sub-DPS Fast rotations, applies Glacio Chafe effortlessly
Sigrika Aero Main DPS Echo Skill scaling, self-buffs, crowd control
Aemeath Fusion Main DPS Applies and consumes Fusion Burst solo
Iuno Aero Sub-DPS Off-field damage, healing, stamina regen
Phrolova Havoc DPS Massive Liberation damage, dual-DPS monster
Cartethyia Aero Main DPS HP-scaling, tanky, applies Aero Erosion herself
Ciaccona Aero Support Debuffs enemies, perfect Cartethyia partner
Lupa Fusion Support Shreds Fusion RES, boss-killer Pack Hunt
Lynae Spectro Sub-DPS Universal DMG amplification, Tune Break driver
Hiyuki Glacio Main DPS The definitive Glacio Chafe unit
Shorekeeper Spectro Support Crit buffs, healing, knockout prevention
Augusta Electro Main DPS Heavy Attack nukes and literal time stop
Galbrena — Main DPS Split scaling, insane damage ceiling
Mornye — Support Top-tier healer with universal DMG amplification

Suisui is, without question, the best all-round support I have ever used. She buffs, debuffs, and heals simultaneously, and she slots into basically every team I build. If I am unsure who to bring as my third slot, Suisui is the answer. Meanwhile, Yangyang Xuanling is the strongest DPS in the game right now — a straightforward Havoc unit who deletes health bars through Heavy Attacks. I have solo-carried entire endgame stages with her.

Lucilla is my comfort pick for Glacio Chafe teams. Her rotations are blazing fast and her job is simple: apply Glacio Chafe, again and again, forever. Sigrika, on the other hand, jumped straight to the top on release. She scales off Echo Skill damage and packs self-buffing, crowd control, and enormous numbers into one kit. Just remember — pair her with other Echo Skill Resonators or you are leaving damage on the table.

Aemeath is a Fusion powerhouse who applies and consumes Fusion Burst all by herself, which means she fits into Tune Rupture, Fusion Burst, and Mono Fusion teams alike. And then there is Iuno, probably the most versatile character in the entire game. She amplifies Heavy Attack DMG, heals, regenerates stamina, and still deals absurd off-field damage. Bring Augusta alongside her and watch everything melt.

Phrolova remains the queen of Mono Havoc. Her Liberation damage is among the highest in the game, and her dual-DPS potential is unreal. Cartethyia, meanwhile, scales entirely on HP, which makes her both tanky and terrifying — she applies Aero Erosion without any help and has comfortably overshadowed Jiyan as the premier Aero DPS. Ciaccona is her perfect partner, stacking Aero Erosion and Spectro Frazzle while buffing Aero DMG for the whole team.

Lupa is the backbone of any serious Fusion team. She shreds enemy Fusion RES and passively boosts Fusion damage for everyone, and her Pack Hunt skill turns her into a genuine boss killer against Overworld and Calamity-class Echoes. Lynae is the glue that holds modern teams together — she amplifies all DMG through Liberation and Outro, drives Tune Break, and still hits hard herself. Hiyuki is the standard Glacio Chafe DPS of today and tomorrow, with damage multipliers that are frankly a little rude.

Shorekeeper has aged like fine wine. She buffs Crit, heals, and prevents knockouts, and she fits into virtually every composition I have ever tested. Augusta is my personal favourite for pure style points — stopping time mid-fight never gets old. Galbrena's split scaling lets her slot into multiple teams while outputting genuinely insane damage. And Mornye is the healer I trust when things get ugly: universal DMG amplification, faster Off-Tune buildup, and increased damage taken by enemies.

🥇 S Tier — Still Excellent, Slightly Off-Meta

These units are strong. They simply fall a little short in raw output or have drifted out of the current meta.

  • Lucy — The Cyberpunk Edgerunners collab star. Enormous front-loaded damage and time-stop abilities, but her team options are tied tightly to Rebecca.

  • Rebecca — A free 5-star who synergises perfectly with Lucy and buffs allied Heavy Attack damage. Great value, limited flexibility.

  • Luuk Herssen — The premier Tune Strain DPS. Aerial-focused, easy to play, and stronger the longer a fight drags on. Sadly, he really wants Lynae and Mornye to function.

  • Verina — Still one of the best healers in the game. She solo-sustains any team with only a couple of seconds of field time.

  • Jiyan — The Midnight Rangers general. Easy to play, strong AoE, and still wipes entire groups after his Resonance Liberation.

  • Carlotta — The best Glacio DPS around, but Glacio teams are not meta right now.

  • Zani — The best Spectro DPS, held back only because the meta shifted toward Tune Break.

  • Chisa — A universal debuffer who raises max status-effect stacks and shreds enemy DEF. She is one meta shift away from SS tier.

  • Sanhua — Arguably the best free Resonator in the game. Built correctly, she out-damages some 5-stars.

🥈 A, B and C Tiers

The A tier is full of solid alternatives — Brant, Cantarella, Qiuyuan, Encore, Zhezhi and friends. They are good characters; they just are not my first pick unless a specific team needs them.

The B tier is where the old guard lives. Calcharo, Havoc Rover, Danjin, Jianxin and similar units were once top-tier, but power creep has pushed them out. Danjin in particular is still strong, though her niche playstyle is not for everyone.

The C tier is where I would advise you not to spend your pulls. Chixia, Lingyang, Youhu, Lumi, Aalto, Yangyang and Taoqi are fine in the early game and fall off hard afterwards.

💭 My Final Thoughts

The 2026 meta rewards synergy far more than raw stats. Suisui, Shorekeeper and Mornye keep my teams alive; Yangyang Xuanling, Cartethyia and Augusta end fights before they begin. If you are pulling blindly for whoever looks coolest, you will still have fun — but if you want to clear the hardest content consistently, build around these Resonators and invest in Crit, ATK and Energy Regen.

Who is your favourite Resonator in Wuthering Waves right now? For me, it changes every patch. 🎮

Recent trends are highlighted by Rock Paper Shotgun, whose PC-focused reporting often emphasizes how modern action RPG metas evolve around team synergy rather than isolated damage numbers, a perspective that aligns closely with the current Wuthering Waves environment where support utility, rotation efficiency, and status application can matter as much as a main DPS pick.
